In the Energo Bird game, the players’ task is to control a flying bird, avoid obstacles in the form of protruding pipes and fly as far as possible. Control is done by pedaling the EnergoBike or exercising on another fitness device adapted to produce electricity. The faster the player pedals (exercise), the higher the bird flies, when the player slows down, the bird falls down. The game can be played by 1-4 players at the same time (riding simultaneously on 4 EnergoBikes).

The system is based on a Raspberry Pi computer and power meters, which are connected to the EnergoBikes on one side and to a 12 V battery on the other. Thanks to the fact that the user pedals, the battery is powered, and this in turn, thanks to the voltage converter, allows the TV and RPi to be powered. The system is therefore energy self-sufficient.

On the screen, we can see how many points each player has earned, as well as how much energy (Wh) they have generated, calories burned and how long they have played.
